## Who does what

Your local ward police ( **công an phường**) handle residence declarations and reports of lost or stolen items. When you stay at a hotel or rent a home, your host declares your stay; they need your passport details to do it.

Visas and temporary residence cards are handled by the Immigration Department of Da Nang City Police ( Phòng Quản lý xuất nhập cảnh). On the road, traffic police ( **cảnh sát giao thông**) wear yellow-green uniforms and may ask for your licence and vehicle papers. In an emergency, call **113**.

This page teaches the language. For legal procedures, check with the authorities or your embassy.
